To be a member of the CRC Juniors Program each Junior must:

Parent involvement
Parents are always welcome at practice, and encouraged to consider the "Learn to Row" program at the boathouse, coach's training and/or referee training. The more on the water , the merrier!

For more information please contact George Park.

Schedule
For Spring 2008, we have junior rowing every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 4:30. The emphasis is learning to row and recreational rowing. If you are interested in competitive rowing be sure to let us know. Contact George Park if you are interested in rowing recreationally or competitively or if you would like to help.

Safety
Everyone's safety is our highest priority. That is why we have the safety launch on the water at every Junior Practice that has rowers on the water. In the event of inclement weather, rowers report to the boathouse for potential land workout.

Races
A regatta is a highlight for any rower. CRC has sent junior crews to regattas in the past and makes every effort to provide an opportunity for interested rowers to compete.

The Future
We anticipate that a formal, competitive junior program will start in late summer 2008, competing in regattas as a crew in Fall 2008. High school freshmen and sophomores, and even eighth graders, interested in competitive rowing are encouraged to participate during the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 sessions to learn to row and form a nucleus of the competitive crew in Fall 2008.
