Please join the Columbia Rowing Club on October 3rd, 2009 at 10am for The Head of the Broad Invitational Regatta, a 4km time-trial race, finishing just below the dock at the Richland County Rowing Center at 1871 Omarest Dr, Columbia, SC 29210 (Map) (Directions). Afterwards there will be 500m fun side-by-side sprints and an award ceremony. Everyone is welcome to watch this fine display of rowing and to find out all about the sport of rowing. Racing will be in eights (eight rowers plus a coxswain), fours (four rowers and a coxswain), quads (four rowers sculling), doubles and singles.

Crews from ACC Champion Clemson Women's Crew; College of Charleston; Charlotte Youth Rowing; Raptor Youth Rowing (Charleston); Asheville Youth Rowing; Augusta Juniors; Columbia Youth Rowing and Columbia Rowing Club will be participating for a chance to be the fastest crew in each event.
